Pedro Antunes is a filmmaker and a video artist based in Lisbon.

His practice has been developed across the fields of moving image, cinema and visual arts. His visual research relies on condensed micro narratives and structural experimentation, which creates a consequential proximity to the subjects. His process is heavily rooted on sound possibilities, subverting the standardised stages of film production.

His works have been shown in cinema festivals – Edinburgh IFF, Doclisboa, Curtas Vila do Conde, Queer Lisboa; institutions  – Cinemateca portuguesa, Museu de Lisboa, MAAT, Culturgest, Pazo Provincial San Marcos; and other platforms – Lisbon Fashion Week, Prinçipal Magazine.

He has also been working in production and art departments in film and advertising.
